A Collaborative Effort

The study’s efforts included public meetings, technical advisory committee meetings, and meetings with a range of organizations and groups to coordinate the corridor planning effort with local, regional, and statewide efforts. This included meetings with representatives from the Town of Windham, various special interest groups, council/ selectmen meetings in the study area’s communities, CRCOG’s Transportation Committee, and others.

This high level of collaboration at multiple levels allowed the Project Team to be aware of all current involvement, management, planning, and/ or funding opportunities that was relevant to the Eastern Gateways Study. The insights garnered from this collaborative effort was crucial in identifying the needs and priorities for Route 44 and Route 195 within the study area.
